Cause $4 Celebration -- José Andrés and THINKfoodGROUP restaurants Jaleo, Oyamel, and Zaytinya are giving cause $4 celebration -- introducing bar promotions perfect for welcoming the return of spring.

Sunday through Friday, each restaurant is offering $4 specialty cocktails and beer and $4 appetizing small plates, as well as discounted wines by the glass. These specials are available in the bar area only. Thanks to The List Are You On It in my Everyday Reads for the skinny.
  • At all three of Jaleo's lively bar scenes, check out the Jaleo Hour from 4:30 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday through Friday. Nosh on some of Jaleo's most popular tapas, priced at $4 each, including patatas bravas- 2009 (fried fingerling potatoes topped with a spicy tomato sauce and alioli), and sip Jaleo's white and red sangria, rail drinks and draft beer, all offered for $4, as well.   • Featuring a creative cocktail lists, Oyamel Cocina Mexicana is serving up tempting, flavorful libations during the "Hora Feliz" from 4:30pm-6:30pm, Sunday through Friday. Featured menu items include Oyamel's authentic Mexican tacos in handmade corn tortillas, priced at $4 for two. Cocktail

  • Zaytinya has launched Mezze Ora from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m., Sunday through Friday. The Pom-Fili specialty cocktail ( white wine, vodka, triple sec and pomegranate juice) sounds tasty, and so does a simpler, Yuengling draft beer and Almaza Pilsner, all priced at $4. A selection of red and white wines is featured at $4 a glass. Perfect for snacking, Zaytinya is offering an array of mezze specials such as kolokithokeftedes (zucchini and cheese patties), caper-yogurt sauce and midyes, fried mussels with walnut tarator sauce and Arayes (701 9th Street, NW; 202.638.0800)
