UPDATE: DC Beer Week Returns

DC Beer Week is a celebration of good beer in the District taking place August 17th through the 24th.  Pop over to some of my favorite venues below or the various events and seminars that week. Follow the chatter on Twitter at #DCBW2014.

Church Key has a Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Takeover on Sunday, August 17th at 11:30 a.m. featuring 12 collaboration brews from Sierra Nevada's Beer Camp series, plus a slew of draft & cask rarities from the likes of Cigar City, Victory, Allagash, Oskar Blues, Bell's & Firestone Walker.

Belga Café is hosting a beer dinner with New Belgium Brewery on Tuesday, August 19th at 6:30pm. Enjoy a four course menu paired with 7 beers at only $59 per person. Make a reservation on Opentable.com or call.

Btoo will have 1/2 price selected large format beers on Monday, August 18th and a '3 bites & 3 beers' "Hoppy Hour" with vintage Goose Island on Wednesday, August 20th.

Pinstripes in Georgetown will host a DC Beer Week Happy Hour with their entire all-local draft beer list going for $4 a pop during afternoons and late night. The bowling and dining venue's six local drafts include Victory Brewing's Prima Pils, 3 Stars Brewing's Peppercorn Saison and Dogfish Head's 90 Minute IPA.

Soi38 (one of my favorite new hidden restaurants in the city) will celebrate Thai beer with a special on Singha beers all week long on draft for $3.25.

Check out the massive amount of other events across the city taking place August 17th - 24th  HERE.
