Local D.C. eateries Zengo, Al Tiramisu, the Jefferson Hotel and Osteria Elisir have joined 100 restaurants from across the U.S. for the James Beard Foundation’s (JBF) Taste America® Local Dish Challenge. Throughout September and October diners can visit the restaurants and taste their special Taste America Local Dish. Each restaurant will donate $1 from each dish sold to the James Beard Foundation's Taste American education drive. Diners who photograph the Local Dish, post to Instagram with #JBFTasteamerica and the hashtag of your city can help their city win a donation of $10,000 or 10% of the proceeds raised nationally, whichever is higher, for a local food charity. So start eating D.C.!
