DC Arts Advocacy Celebration at Busboys and Poets July 17th Honoring Councilman Jack Evans

Toast to the Advocates! A Victory Celebration and...
The DC Advocates for the Arts will host a celebration on July 17th at Busboys and Poets (5th and K Street location) to support their organization and celebrate a VERY BIG arts advocacy campaign win. Local government arts funding plays a critical role in the vitality of the arts in Washington, and after four years of brutal cuts, this year the District won an arts funding increase of $6 million dollars.
The DC Advocates for the Arts will honor Council-member Jack Evans - the person most responsible for this arts funding increase - at the event.

Pre-sale tickets are $20 dollars, and include appetizers and one drink ticket, and the money raised will cover event costs and contribute to strengthening their advocacy efforts. You can purchase tickets online HERE
