Calling all DC Photographers

FotoDC has launched its 5th annual International Awards Competition offering two new categories: FotoBooks and Modern Vintage. A  panel of industry experts will hand select winners in 13 categories, with prizes for the top 3 winners in each category and $26,000 in cash awards. Photographers from the DC  can submit early on August 6th and you have until September 23rd for all submissions. 

The popular People's Choice Award is also returning for FotoWeekDC’s 5^th anniversary celebration. Friends and fans can have a say in the People’s Choice outcome by casting votes for their favorite entries. The top 20 images across all categories will win additional recognition, including an annual FotoPage subscription for each winning photographer and online exposure through the People’s Choice Gallery on http://awards.fotodc.org/bin/Rate.I hope all of my favorite photographers are entering so I can vote (ahem Dakota, Maria, Patrick and Jocelyn!)
