It's Thursday Night. What's a Girl to do?

Thursday oh Thursday, what shall we do? Wanna stick around downtown? Stroll over to the In Our Own Voice fundraiser for Pediatric Aids HIV at the Historial Society of Washington. Then, head over to Capitol Pecha Kucha Night 10th Annivesary Edition at Boffi Studio in Cady's Alley. Designer Tashia Senn will showcase her newest collection. Late night the party continues at L2.

Dinner and a date more your thing? Make your way to the Bentzen Ball Opening Night show at the historic Lincoln Theatre. With an incredible line-up of comedians across the globe you're surely in for a laugh all weekend long. Ticket prices vary. Afterwards swing over to endless restaurants in the U. Street corridor for dinner and drinks.

Art scene on your radar? Longview Gallery opens their new 5,000 square foot space right around the corner from their old digs at 9th and N. Catch the DCist's preview of their new space HERE. See the works of some of my favorite artists in the Distict including Anna Davis and Billy Colbert. Also previewing their work that night: Steve Pyke, Scott Brooks, Drew Ernst, Mike Weber, Dana Ellyn, Matt Sesow, Stacy Albano, Tony Savoie, John Whipple, Victor Ekpuk and Chris Stephens. Also, two doors down artist Billy Colbert and Kelly Towles present DIRTY GREEN: The Art of Grifters and Con Men. I've seen a few pieces in progress and you're in for a twisted treat. "Buy Now and Buy often" (above) is a glimpse at Colbert's artistic kitsch.
