DC has an endless number of restaurants that have set up shop across the District with more to come this Fall. I have a number of my calendar to preview in the coming weeks, but in the mean time here is a list of the newest culinary digs you can partake. Thanks to The List Are You On It in my Everday Reads for the skinny.

Social
- is my newest fav in Columbia Heights (pictured above), partners AJ Guy, Scott Hammons & Tim Korzep have created a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere at their new hotspot. Also, be sure to stop by October 8th as I host a a charity benefit at Social to celebrate their grand opening and raise funds for the DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative. Tickets are $50 and include libations and samples from their menu. More details and tickets HERE.

BlackFinn Restaurant - has opened just a few blocks from the White House. Features a full bar with plenty of screens for sports and entertainment viewing. I drove by the other day and if you're looking for the good looking "K Street" men, you now know where to find them.

Mid City Caffe
- is an old auto garages now post-war coffee shop, reminiscent of an era of neighborhood comfort. All coffee will be sourced from Counter Culture Coffee. In addition to a traditional espresso menu, the cafe only uses two methods of brewing; French press and a pour-over bar.

Pizzeria Paradiso
in Dupont expanded it's digs! Thank God. The new space is twice the size of the old location and has outdoor dining as well. Beer fans get ready, the new location has a replica of the much loved "Birreria" from the Georgetown locale.

Room 11 Wine & Dessert Bar
- the newest wine bar to hit the scene that has opened on 11th Street and Lamont. Always packed and just 1 block from Wonderland. Serves wine by the glass and bottle, specialty beers and hand-crafted cocktails, pastries from Paisley Fig and small plates including charcuterie.
