Velocity Five Sports Restaurant & Bar will celebrate the Grand Opening of its new location at the Courthouse Metro in Arlington on Thursday, April 23.
The festivities will get underway at 6 p.m. and feature appearances by former Washington Redskins Rick “Doc” Walker, Gary Clark and others. A complimentary buffet, drink specials and DJ are all part of opening night. Velocity Five will also unveil Velocity Court, the new outdoor dining and sports bar on the largest outdoor patio in Arlington.
Velocity Court offers covered outdoor dining for 60 people, a full-service bar, TV’s and an outdoor lounge area. The restaurant is open daily from 11 a.m. to 2 a.m. for lunch, dinner, late night dining and weekend brunch.
Jim Speros, owner and founder of Velocity Five, established the concept of an upscale sports restaurant where customers can enjoy classic cuisine in an atmosphere reminiscent of five star steak houses, yet moderately priced where the focus would be on televised sporting events. Sounds like a new hot spot for the Clarendon crowd.
