The three-course special will include a special first course, followed by a savory crepe for the second course and a sweet crepe for dessert accompanied with a glass of French sparkling cider for $39.95. New Year’s Eve Catering from Jackson’s Roasting & Carving Co. -- Known for its delicious hand-carved sandwiches, Jackson’s Roasting & Carving Co. is offering a special holiday catering menu for those entertaining this season. In addition to its daily roasted meats, Jackson’s catering menu will expand to include a standing rib roast as well as the holiday classic, crisp roasted duck. New Year’s Eve Italian-Style at Locanda -- This New Year’s Eve, Capitol Hill eatery Locanda, will transport guests to the Mediterranean with a traditional Italian celebration. Locanda will provide two seatings; the first at 6:00 pm offers guests a four-course menu for $85 and the second at 8:30 pm will include five courses and a complimentary glass of Prosecco for $120. Executive Chef Brian Barszcz will craft a special menu, highlighting bold Italian flavors and luxurious ingredients with dishes such as Foie Gras on Brioche with Sour Cherry Chutney and Vincotto, followed by Lobster Ravioli with Chive Butter and Lobster Coral and Grilled Venison Loin with Cipollini Onions, Potato-Parsnip Gratin and red currant-juniper glaze. New Year’s Eve at The Majestic -- To celebrate the end of 2008 and welcome the New Year, The Majestic is offering a three-course feast for $68. The menu will allow guests to choose from five succulent appetizers, five delectable entrees and five sensational desserts. In addition to the delicious cuisine, The Majestic will offer guests an extensive list of ‘bubbly’ from which to order from. Watch The Ball Drop at Mio -- Ring in the New Year at Mio in true Washingtonian style. Mio is offering guests a chance to indulge this New Year’s Eve with a decadent four-course dinner. Seatings will take place at 5:30, 6:00 or 6:30 pm for $70 for those looking to be home when the ball drops, or at 8:30, 9:00 or 9:30 pm for $85. Chef Nicholas Stefanelli is also preparing an exquisite six-course tasting menu, which is available the entire evening for $120 per person. Catering to those seeking an extra-special evening, Stefanelli will create an exclusive menu at the kitchen-side Chef's Table. Seating two guests, this menu is available for $165 per person. Ring in 2009 at VOLT -- To celebrate the start of 2009 VOLT is offering two dinner seatings – 5:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. Early seating guests can choose from a five-course tasting menu for $69 or a nine-course tasting menu for $109. Wine pairings are available for each tasting menu for an additional $35 and $50. Those guests dining during the later seating will be offered the nine-course tasting menu. Both menus offer decadent dishes, executed with Chef Bryan Voltaggio’s exquisite twist of modern elegance is the perfect way to usher in the New Year. In addition to dinner, VOLT’s lounge will offer an open bar, passed canapés and champagne toast. The lounge celebration will be 9:00 p.m. and is $75 in advance, $85 at the door and an additional $25 for dinner guests. Usher in 2009 at BLT Steak -- BLT Steak DC offers guests the prefect downtown location for a year’s New Year’s Eve celebration. BLT Steak’s extensive raw bar and prime meat options such as Japanesse Kobe Strip and Wagyu Ribeye, are prefect for those looking to have an exquisite night in the heart of the district. Party at PX this New Years -- The PX will be open on New Year's Eve from 6pm till 1am offering craft cocktails by Drink Maker Todd Thrasher along with flutes of champagne. The perfect place to start off the evening before dinner or ring in 2009 complete with decorations, noise makers and party horns.
