There’s nothing like a plate full of pristine oysters, shucked just right, served on a bed of salt with all the fitting accompaniments. Or perhaps piles of crustaceans—a perfect treat to share or to enjoy all by oneself. Asia Nine raises the (sushi) bar by adding a variety of fresh-from-the-sea favorites.
The restaurant’s new oyster bar includes not only a daily changing choice of three kinds of oysters ($12 for a half dozen), but serves them with a choice of a distinctive Asian seafood sauce or a zesty Wasabi cocktail sauce. For true seafood aficionados, a seafood tower is available featuring hoards of shrimp, mounds of King Crab and oodles of oysters ($39.99 for one; $75 for two). During happy hour, 4:30-7 p.m. weekdays, Oysters are half price at the bar; and for late diners, oysters are half price after 9 p.m. daily.
At the bar, the restaurant offers a wide variety of Asian beers, sakes, wines and cocktails to make the experience one to make even King Neptune himself smile.
