I am proud of the DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative who has been named a finalists for the Mayor's Arts Awards. For 7 years I have served on the board of this amazing organization. Last year we arranged learning experiences at the Districts world-class cultural institutions - from the Washington Ballet to the Kennedy Center - for 26,000 students from 104 DC public schools and charter schools and we look forward to working together to serve even more students again this school year! THANK YOU to everyone who has supported us over the years, attended our many fundraisers and for supporting arts education DC students. Join us on October 22 at 7 p.m. at the Warner Theatre where we will find out if we have won!
