Nonprofit of the Week: A Wider Circle

Just last month I moved into a new condo and had a considerable amount of furniture to donate. I came across A Wider Circle - a nonprofit organization that provides FREE furniture and delivery for low income and recently homeless individuals who are transitioning into their first real home. Each day, A Wider Circle provides basic need items to families from furniture to ironing boards. They furnish the homes of more than 1,000 children and adults every single month, all free of charge. They also visit low-income schools and shelters to lead educational workshops on topics ranging from healthy self-esteem and stress management to resume writing and financial planning.
