Where are you dining this 11.11.11?

Two of my favorite DC restaurants are having special deals on 11.11.11 this year. At The Jefferson (photo above), chef Chris Jakubiec and Sommelier Michael Scaffidi (who traveled with me and the Center for Wine Origins recently to the Port wine region in Portugal) have taken the 11’s to the extreme, offering an 11 Course Tasting Menu for $111.11 per person with plates such as a Butternut Squash Tartlet, Crispy-Skin Arctic Char, Seared Foie Gras, and a Dark Chocolate Palet with Hazelnut Ice Cream, and Lemon Cotton Candy. Order the 11 paired wine tastings for an additional $111.11 and this might well be your number 1 priority to have a great time. Visit www.jeffersondc.com for reservations.

At PS 7’s chef Peter Smith’s mix and match features a 3 Course Menu, $11 for each item, from 11AM to 11PM. You can also savor Hand-Crafted Cocktails, mixed by Washington D.C.'s infamous Mixtress Gina Chersevani; and For the Table shared plates by, like Tuna Sliders or Banh Mini, and a Fresh Beginnings, such as Baby Beet Salad or Roasted Cauliflower Soup, each dish for $11 each for a final total of $33. This 11-11-11 promotion comes with a complimentary Cuptail – a signature house-made cupcake drenched in liquor or signature cocktail. Visit www.ps7restaurant.com for reservations.
