Echo Park, A professional contemporary ballet company based in Takoma Park, Maryland performs unique ballets created by well known and unknown choreographers in the U.S. and abroad. Celebrating its inaugural year, Echo Park opened its first season to favorable reviews from critics hailed for its visionary choreography, technique and the extraordinary quality of its' dancers. When not on tour the company also appears locally on stage during its summer, spring and fall season in the Washington DC area.

Collaborating with noted composers, musicians, visual artist, choreographers and dancers Executive Director Cedric Tillman, Artistic Director Rasta Thomas and Director of Operations & Productions Kenneth Rascher create and commission works that draw on a diverse set of deeply rooted cultural traditions, spiritual enlightenment and imbue ballet with a contemporary twist. Echo Park is known for its innovative flare and its ability to connect audiences to a profound sense of passion and technique, but also of furious abandon and exhilarating freedom .
