DC This Week has long been a supporter of arts education and arts funding for DC nonprofits. Join the Advocate for the Arts and a number of cultural organizations who are fighting to sustain funding in Mayor Vincent Gray's budget proposal. His proposal will cut DC arts grants from over $11 million to less than $6 million. Read more HERE.
Please send a message to your council member now to let them know you support funding for the DC arts and the many institutions who rely on funding support to sustain their programs. Two organizations that I serve on the Board of Directors for - Project Create and the DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative - rely on this funding.
