Mid City Dog Days of Summer Sale and Festivities this Weekend

Venture over to the 14th and U Street corridor this weekend for the annual Dog Days of Summer Sale. Be sure to wear your walking shoes because the day is filled with arts, music and fantastic sales from the shops and boutiques along 14th. 

Founded in 2000 by Home Rule this event has grown from a sidewalk festival including just 6 businesses to now over 70. Some highlights:
  • Home Rule will have 50 - 75% OFF everything on the sidewalk
  • Nellie's Sports Bar will have$24 All You Can Eat Brunch and your first mimosa is free
  • Studio Theater will have its annual garage sale full of costumes, props, books, furniture and more
  • 1905 will have All Night Happy Hour for patrons who bring in their receipt from any Dog Days of Summer shop on Saturday night. Be sure to check out their new rooftop patio.
  • Logan Hardware will have discounted items and free popcorn. 
  • Millennium will offer 10 to 50% off all items in the store. 
  • Legendary Beast will have three pieces of jewelry for just $10.00 on their tables outside.  
  • Caramel will have 50% off summer styles and pastries from their very own in-house pastry chef.
  • On Saturday, August 4, 2012, from 9 am to 11am, Dog Days will be showcasing the best of the District's four-legged stars. See what great prizes you could win in this fun competition with categories like: Best Vocalist, Best Puppy, Best Tricks, Best Costume, Best Look-a-Like, and more!  Meet us at the African-American Civil War Memorial!
