Hillwood
Estate, Museum & Gardens with Alliance Française de Washington will celebrate
France’s national holiday, Bastille Day, with a French Festival on Saturday, July 14 from
10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Join them for a leisurely
evening in the gardens and Mansion. Games, lively theatrics, dance, pantomime,
and music bring the life of the French court to the lush gardens at Hillwood.
Inside the Mansion, gallery talks
offer insight into the art and furnishings of the French Drawing Room,
while cars on loan from the Citroen Club mimic the streets of Paris on the
Motor Court outside. The special exhibition Prêt-à-Papier: The Exquisite Art
of Isabelle de Borchgrave rounds out this day of
Bastille Day French Festival
