Bastille Day French Festival Coming to Hillwood

Hillwood Estate, Museum & Gardens with Alliance Française de Washington will celebrate France’s national holiday, Bastille Day, with a French Festival on Saturday, July 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Join them for a leisurely evening in the gardens and Mansion. Games, lively theatrics, dance, pantomime, and music bring the life of the French court to the lush gardens at Hillwood.

Inside the Mansion, gallery talks offer insight into the art and furnishings of the French Drawing Room, while cars on loan from the Citroen Club mimic the streets of Paris on the Motor Court outside. The special exhibition Prêt-à-Papier: The Exquisite Art of Isabelle de Borchgrave rounds out this day of

COst: $18, $15 for seniors. $12 for Hillwood and Alliance Française members. $10 for students. $5 for children ages 6-18. Free for children under age 6.
