Our Foster Pup from Washington Animal Rescue League Needs a Forever Home

The DC This Week household is fostering an amazing dog named Tiny from the Washington Animal Rescue League (WARL).  We’ve had her for about a week and she is fantastic, but because of her age (11 yrs old) it’s been tough for them to find an adopter for her. We hope a reader will fall in love with her just like we have and consider adoption.

Tiny is a Rat Terrier/Jack Russell mix. She loves cuddling on the couch with us and walks in the neighborhood. In fact, she pretty much walks us each day and she asks politely when she wants to go out by standing by the front door. We know a little bit about her previous history and this 11 year old has certainly led a tough life so she deserves to be spoiled. She was in an animal testing facility for quite some time, but after it was shut down she went to live with an older lady who absolutely adored her and trained her well. Unfortunately, Tiny’s leg was broken and the lady could not afford to care for her so she had to return to WARL and is now searching for an adoptive parent.

She does well in small homes and really likes to chill out on the couch next to you. She’s not too fond of other dogs and would prefer to sit in your lap when they are around, but she seems to like kids. She especially likes riding in the car with the window down and going to brunch with us and friends. She tends to steal all of the attention though and appreciates it when you drop food under the table. Learn more about Tiny HERE and if you are interested in meeting her and adopting email adopt@warl.org or call WARL at 202.726.2556 ex 503.
