Taste of Arlington Coming May 22nd

Taste of Arlington® is an annual event that transforms the Ballston area into a lively street festival, complete with local entertainment, lively sponsors, children's activities, and lots of noteworthy restaurants. Finnish Embassy presents from garbage to catwalk: Fabric Re:Defined showcases chic eco-design
Globe Hope, an innovative Finnish eco-design brand that makes clothing and accessories using discarded materials, is proof that passion for fashion and environmental sustainability can coexist harmoniously. The Fabric Re:Defined exhibition introduces Globe Hope’s design philosophy and takes you on a journey through Recyclandia, its versatile materials and products along with their unique stories.
The exhibition is open at the Embassy of Finland from Friday to Sunday April 8-24 from 11 am to 4 pm. Free admission.

Marcātus, a creative art market near the Nationals Ballpark, will be a multidimensional event different than any other to reach the District. Marcātus invites you to come out for the whole day to enjoy the sounds of live music, smells of exotic foods, eye candy of art, to hunt for creative treasures, or simply to relax on the Great Lawn with a frosty beverage taking in the picturesque views of the Anacostia River.

Travel Zoo Deal: $29 Seats to See New York City Ballet at Kennedy Center April 8-10th

Natalie Portman may have brought ballet back, but New York City Ballet co-founder George Balanchine pioneered it. This week, the company performs three repertory programs from Balanchine's "black and white" ballets at the Kennedy Center.
