Stuff-a-Truck with Giant Food this Friday

Radio Stations WPGC 95.5, 106.7 The Fan, 94.7 Fresh, and 99.1 El Zol will host the 10th annual Stuff-A-Truck food drive this Friday from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. to help alleviate hunger in the Washington metropolitan region this holiday season. Local residents are encouraged to help fill four Capital Area Food Bank trucks with non-perishable items. Holiday entertainment will be featured at each Stuff-A-Truck location. The first 200 participants to donate to Stuff-A-Truck this Friday at all four locations will receive a free reusable bag courtesy of Giant Food.

Stuff-A-Truck began in 2002 as a way to help fight hunger in the D.C. metropolitan area. More than 375,000 pounds of non-perishable food items and nearly $641,000 have been donated to date through the Stuff-A-Truck program. In 2010 alone, Stuff-A-Truck raised more than $126,000 and 54,000 pounds of food in donations. Learn more about their wish list HERE.
