DC Charity Spotlight: City Kids Wilderness Project

City Kids offers extraordinary outdoor adventure experiences for little or no cost to eligible children living in the greater Washington D.C. area. City Kids programs take place primarily in the Maryland countryside and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Participants leave the familiar urban environment and discover the outdoors, often for the first time. By learning new skills, meeting new friends, and developing greater self-confidence, students are better able to succeed in building happy, healthy, and productive lives.

On November 14th, Go Ape will be doing a fundraising day for City Kids Wilderness Project where 100% of proceeds will be donated to this non-profit. Moreover, they will be collecting donations of used gear, packs and clothes for the organization. Go Ape is a treetop adventure course consisting of ziplines, tarzan swings and other obstacles all 40-50 feet up in the trees. The course provides visitors with a unique and fun outdoor activity lasting 2-3 hours.

To make sure the event is a success, they also offering discounted tickets ($35 versus $55) to all those that use the code “CKWP14” when booking at www.goape.com or 1-888-520-7322.
