This Friday the Washington Film Institute Kicks Off the DC Shorts Film Festival
Please join us for a Grand Gathering on the plaza of the US Navy Memorial. Dance the night away, get your t-shirt customized by our on-site t-shirt jockey — and meet filmmakers from around the globe!
Beverages courtesy of Stella Artois, Ketel One, Barefoot Wines and Honest Tea. Food courtesy of Whole Foods.
There is also a full night of live entertainment under the stars. Grammy-nominated Hip-Hop Artist Christylez Bacon will multi-task between various instruments such as the West African djembe drum, acoustic guitar, and the human beat-box (oral percussion), all while continuing the oral tradition of storytelling through his lyrics. Then hear the cool sounds of DC's newest ska ban, The Thrilltones. Add in a couple of numbers by the forgotten 80's band, Eva Brontosaurus, and celebrate with DC's own Sideshow Girl: Mad Just Mab.
You must be 21 to attend the Grand Bash.
TICKETS are $10 HERE.
