Since it’s opening a few weeks ago next to my work I’ve had lunch at Mixt Greens at least 10 times. I’m obsessed with their Disco Sandwich and just yesterday I snagged a few moments with co-workers to dine outside and enjoy the amazing weather!

Mixt Green’s will offer a green gift to coincide with the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. The first 150 customers who visit one of their three DC locations on Thursday, April 22nd will receive a complimentary Mixt Greens tote bag filled with goodies including recipes from Chef/Co-Founder Andrew Swallow’s upcoming cookbook, Mixt Salads, and packets of herb seeds to plant at home. As a leader in sustainable food sourcing, energy efficiency, composting, resource conservation and education, Earth Day is an event close to Mixt Greens’ heart.

Mixt Greens, an eco-gourmet® restaurant serving environmentally responsible fine foods, recently opened three locations in Washington, DC at: 1200 19th Street, NW, 1311 F Street, NW, and 1700 K Street, NW, with a four scheduled to open later this spring at 927 15th Street, NW. Each location is open Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., and prices range from $7.95 to $11.95 for salads and $8.95 for sandwiches, which are served with a side salad of greens.
