The Dunes Presents "Off Ramp" an Earth Day Celebration with Live Music, Sustainability Exhibits and Vegan Cuisine this Sunday

The Dunes presents "Off Ramp", an event commemorating Earth Day, with cuisine by celebrity vegan chef Lauren Von der Pool, live music the DC-base band U.S. Royalty and Matthew Hemerlein,, an exhibit by Architecture for Humanity and live silk screening by Truth Among Liars. . As owner of DC restaurant, Café Green, Von der Pool will host an on-site vegan café while bartenders from Marvin Bistro and Lounge complement her creations with specialty cocktails.

Architecture for Humanity

Architecture for Humanity (AfH) is a non-profit organization that seeks to build a more sustainable future using the power of design through a global network of architecture professionals. The AfH exhibit will include video, photography and story boards highlighting recent architecture projects. Each project’s design strategy seeks to meet the practical needs of target communities, while ensuring its long-term viability and reducing its environmental impact. The projects featured will include a women’s institute in Rwanda, home rebuilding in the wake of Hurricane Katrina and a local project in DC’s Cardozo High School.
