The District Sample Sale is the twice-annual fundraising event staged by the District Sample Sale Foundation, a 501c3 organization. This year's event will benefit CityDance Early Arts.
CityDance works hard to ensure that children from DC’s most underserved neighborhoods have access to free dance classes and performances. With instructors teaching in more than 20 schools and community centers in the Washington, DC metropolitan area each year, CityDance's outreach programs reveal the joy of movement and dance to children of all ages and backgrounds. We are committed to building a new generation of dancers and empowering youth through dance. Since our inception in 1996, more than 30,000 students in the DC Metropolitan Area have had access to free field trips to see professional performances, in-school performances, dance and literacy after-school programs, summer camps, and dance scholarships. Through partnerships with the Washington Wizards and the National Cathedral, CityDance Early Arts students have the opportunity to perform for thousands of Washingtonians every year.
