Whether you’re a seasoned oenophile or a new wine lover, the Festival’s main event will delight your palate with 100 international wineries pouring more than 600 wines for you to sample. Throughout the afternoon, you can taste your way through some of the world’s great wine producing regions including; Spain, France, Italy, Greece, New Zealand, and the U.S.

New this year is the International food pavilion. This delicious VIP experience will lead your palate to tastes from around the globe paired with premium wines. Your passport will guide you through six continents including Europe, The Middle East, North and South America, Australia and Asia. Pair class wines with bites of savory French passaldieres; traditional Italian prosciutto & mozzarella pannini; flavorful Spanish jambon as well as delicious and sustainable Alaskan wild salmon.

Kick off the holiday weekend starting at The Washington Post. TastePost will host the most delectable “happy hour” in town. Sample your way through the room to experience weekend highlights; new world wines from the Kingdom of Navarra; traditional French favorites from The Cote du Rhone, and up and coming favorites from the United States, wine cocktails have even created by savvy mixtress, Gina Chersavani(PS7s). DC’s top culinary talent cookes up cheese inspired courses. Meet Chefs Rob Weland (Poste), Peter Smith (PS7s), Todd Gray (Equinox), Xavier Deshayes (Ronald Reagan Building), and Claudio Pirollo (Et Voila!). This is a terrific opportunity to get taste, sips and tips from the experts!

Valentine love letters will be the theme at the historic all-marble building that is a Registered National Landmark and “once was” Post office of yesterday. Come be a spirited sentimentalist as you enjoy cocktails inspired by “love letters”. This special occasion offers you a chance to indulge your appreciation for something different – The cocktail! Spirited creations from aficionados such as: Gina Chersavani (PS7s), Simo Ahmadi (Equinox), Dennis Burns (Aria), and Rico Wisner (Poste) will be on hand to enjoy. Light hors d’ oeuvres will be served in the private atrium room of the Monoco Hotel. Price of addmission includes four cocktail tokens.
