It’s that time of year again! The Zimbabwe Education Fund’s annual fundraiser is quickly approaching. The event will be held at the socially conscious Chi Cha Lounge (located at 1624 U St NW downtown Washington, DC) on November 19th 2009 at 7 p.m. Each year ZEF hosts its charity fundraiser in the District to raise funds to address the education crisis in Zimbabwe. This annual event is meant to raise awareness about the power of education, the crippling effects of poverty, and the ground breaking work ZEF is doing in Zimbabwe.

Zimbabwe Education Fund’s 2009 annual fundraiser, SHAPING LIVES, will galvanize professionals in the fields of consulting, education, art, entertainment, philanthropy, and international development, from all over the DC, Virginia and Maryland area with the goal of raising funds for Zimbabwe’s Chimukopa Primary School. The event will include an artwork showcase from a local up-and-coming female African artist Jackie Laryea, wine and dessert tasting, a silent auction and gift give-a-ways including all inclusive spa treatments, artwork, DVDs, and more (courtesy of
ZEF sponsors)!

Enjoy an evening of food, wine, and art while taking part in a high-impact humanitarian effort. Tickets include admissions to the event, one complimentary drink and a raffle ticket. Please note ticket stubs are required for complimentary drink(s) and raffle participation. 100% of the proceeds from tickets will go directly to supporting education in Zimbabwe.
