Art Soiree featuring “Julius Gwyer” this Sunday @ Hudson

Julius comes from a nomadic family of economists and artists. Born and educated in England, he spent his childhood in Africa and Asia, and then spent his adolescence visiting his father in the Pacific, Caribbean and Europe. Julius resides in Washington DC and has worked at the World Bank for over ten years.

This exhibition presents photo samples from his travels, and portraits of the people he has met, with a focus on the sense of moment that these evoke. It highlights photos from his five week photographic adventures in Southeast Asia this summer, and recent visits to Paris, Nice, Cinqueterra, and Mexico, as well as few other places, including Washington D.C.

In his travels and seeking out moments, Julius draws great inspiration from, and shares the spirit and intent of Mark Twain's famous quote:

Art Soiree is all about exhibiting exceptional art in a unique setting for one night. Here you’ll be able to meet and interact with the artist, appreciate his work, enjoy a live Jazz performance and later groove with Hudson's new DJ Art.
