As a tradition, 'OPTIONS' has been a survey of the region's up-and-coming visual artists. This 13th installment of 'OPTIONS' was curated by Anne C. Goodyear, Assistant Curator of Prints & Drawings, National Portrait Gallery, Smithsonian Institute.
Selected artists are from DC, MD, and VA and have not had any gallery representation at the point of selection.
Works range from sculpture, painting, performance, silver, photography, drawing, book arts, kinetic sculpture, installation and video.
Selected Artists include: Leah Beeferman (VA), Jessica Braiterman (MD), Graham Coreil-Allen (MD), Younseal Eum (VA), Andy Holtin (DC), Sue Johnson (MD), Patrick McDonough (DC), Kim Manfredi (MD), Jenny Mullins (DC), Ding Ren (DC), Matthew Smith (DC), Polly Townsend (DC), and Matthew Wead (MD).
