Join me at Poppy on Thursday night from 6 to 9 p.m.

Greg's List has the skinny as the most welcoming DC destination to shop for one-of-a kind jewelry and body adornment, previews Heidi Hess’s fall 2009 collection and new paper jewelry from Seattle artist Tia Kramer.

The event offers visitors an opportunity to meet owner Heidi Hess over champagne and preview her fall collection of foliage rings and Antum Quislodes, a series of vessel pendants. Seattle-based jewelry designer Tia Kramer is the featured fall artist in POPPY ongoing visiting designer series spotlighting thought- provoking pieces employing a plethora of techniques.

I picked up a really great ring (above) at POPPY earlier this year for their shopping benefit for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. My ring is made by designer Jessi Taylor based in Seattle.
