Fashion, Friends and Fox Furs

Last night I watched five friends raise $1000 for Pediatric Aids/HIV in 30 minutes all in the name of fashion. We all converged at Neiman Marcus in Chevy Chase for their Fashion Night Out. DJ Adrian Loving was on the decks and DC's most fashionable femme fatales and fellas were at the store for an exclusive shopping party and show. Check out the bisnow.com recap HERE.

Three local DC-based charities, including Pediatric Aids/HIV were invited to compete in a styling contest for the chance to win a $1000 donation for the charities for the team that styled the best outfits.

Ora Nwabueze of The Dunes hand picked the team to represent Pediatric Aids/HIV which included Jordon Monroe, Sheldon Scott, Alicia Kersting and John Murph - hands down some of the most fashion forward thinkers in the District. They were given the task of styling their models for a "charity benefit" and "day in the boardroom with the boss, but ready for cocktails." That kind of sounds like my life......................

They had 20 minutes to pillage the Neiman Marcus store and grab anything, yes anything, they wanted to style their models. Team Pediatric Aids selected top notch ensembles including their "charity benefit" look consisting of a hot Oscar de la Renta cocktail dress above ($4,000) and red-dyed fox fur with a Tory Burch shoes and a sleek Valentino clutch.

The judges for the night included Rachel Cothran of Project Beltway and Carla Hall, celebrity chef from BRAVO’s “Top Chef”. So congrats to team Pediatric Aids/HIV. After the event we all ventured to Rock Creek Restaurant and popped open a bottle of wine to celebrate. Thanks to Patrick Ryan for capturing the entire night on camera.
