This Saturday, the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s 1869 Society will present Fall Fete, the annual fall gala hosted by the Corcoran’s circle of young benefactors. Calling All Captains! Fall Fete: A Nautical Affair is themed in conjunction with the Corcoran Gallery of Art’s fall exhibition, Sargent and the Sea, opening September 12.
Funds raised from the event benefit the Corcoran’s ArtReach program, which extends the resources of the Corcoran Gallery of Art and the Corcoran College of Art + Design to underserved communities in Washington, D.C. through free high-quality arts education programs.
Revelers at this year’s event will enjoy music by DJ Neekola and dancing, hors d’oeuvres and desserts, and an open bar. VIP ticket holders gain access to a VIP-only lounge and entry to the VIP after-party, while those patrons with a “Captain’s” ticket receive extra perks, including endless champagne at the Captain’s Bar and a luxury gift bag.
