Wines of Chile will add some spice to the city September 18-30 as the top restaurants in the city pour a variety of Chilean wines by the glass and17 Retail Stores will offer in-store tastings of Chilean wines.
Once again Wines of Chile will delight Washingtonians by marking Chilean Independence Day (September 18) with its Fourth Annual Salud! Chilean Wine Fest. Fourteen restaurants in DC will offer consumers the opportunity to experience a variety of Chile’s premium wines with special by-the-glass programs through the end of the month. And five retail stores in DC will also provide free in-store tastings throughout the two-week program as well (see full list below).
Wine aficionados and amateurs alike are invited to visit the participating restaurants and shops to try some of Chile’s finest wines from a broad range of terroirs. “The Salud! Chilean Wine Fest enables consumers to learn about and taste a number of Chile’s different varietals, including its unique variety, Carmenere; its signature red grape, Cabernet Sauvignon; its flagship white grape, Sauvignon Blanc, as well as some of its emerging varieties such as Pinot Noir and Syrah.
