DURKL FALL '09 Lookbook is Thrillin'

This past Friday I headed over to the unveiling of DURKL's new showroom/warehouse/offices in the heart of Chinatown (right next to the new Buddha Bar) on Mass and 7th. Today, DURKL released its Fall ‘09 collection to the public. Check it out HERE.

In restoring a 1930’s taxi garage, the brand has taken an active role in uniting the Washington underground community around one creative space. Check out the before/after pictures of the space HERE. The Fall '09 line draws inspiration from timeless American styles, ranging from vintage surf-wear to classic durable work-wear. Each garment in the line is highlighted by updated patterns and color palettes all featuring unique DURKL detailing.

The collection consists of a variety of graphic tees, flannels, outerwear, and hats. The Fall '09 Lookbook was shot in and around the new headquarters with friends and artists from the DC area (including my friend Jay Bynum, man extraordinaire, eye candy as seen in the first shot above). Prost to Lucas and his team at DURKL for once again thrillin' DC.
