Join us Monday, October 19th for an ART BUZZ Remix at DC's hottest restaurant and lounge, Co. Co. Sala. The sixth ART BUZZ Remix will raise much needed funds for the DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative's Arts for Every Student Program and will include a video art installation care of DC's most talented digital gurus, a music soundscape and FREE giveaways for lucky guests from Co. Co. Sala, Policy Brand Clothing Co., Aidah Collection, Posh Princess Palace, VASTU, National Jean Company, City Shop Girl, artists Chris Bishop, Marielle Mariano and photogs Katharine Hauschka, and Cherie Lester .
Happy hour drink specials include select $4 beers, $6 wines and $8 sangria and Co. Co. Sala has an amazing menu for you to partake that night (prices vary).
ART BUZZ has grown to become our signature fundraising event for the DC Arts and Humanities Education Collaborative. The Collaborative ensures that underserved DC public school students benefit from the region’s rich array of arts amenities.
They provide free transportation and free tickets to storytelling presentations, music, dance, and theater experiences; plus trips to The Kennedy Center and museums.
In addition the Collaborative provides teachers with professional development sessions and study materials, adding further incentive to integrate the arts into their daily lessons. In the 2009 school year, more than 32,000 students and teachers will visit cultural institutions through our program.
A $15 donation is requested at the door and all attendees are entered for a chance to win one of many FREE giveaways that night.
