Witness the spectacle of cash encountering contemporary fine art, installation, collaboration and performance art, including a silent auction benefiting the Sexual Minority Youth Assistance League (S.M.Y.A.L.), The Corcoran BFA Scholarship Fund and the start-up gallery Unmundane Art Project: Organize. Dane Austin Criner, principal of Dane Austin Design, supports creating safe spaces where Washington's lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and questioning (LGBTQ) youth can express their identity. Dane also believes in giving up-and-coming artists a chance to show off their abilities. This event will help launch a new community minded arts project which aids young artists, especially Corcoran students, with opportunities to show off their hard earned talents!

Sell(ing) Out is on view from March 25, 2009 to March 29, 2009 in Gallery 31, located at the New York Avenue entrance of the Corcoran. A reception for the artist and four other 2009 graduates of Corcoran College of Art + Design will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, 2009 in the North Atrium. The reception is part of the Corcoran's annual thesis exhibition.

RECEPTION - Thursday, March 26th, 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
