poppy :: pickworthbell communications ::

Georgetown newcomer POPPY, the most welcoming DC destination to shop for one-of-a kind jewelry and body adornment, hosts its grand opening celebration. The event offers visitors an opportunity to meet owner Heidi Hess over champagne and preview her new spring collection exploring elongated forms and saturated color.

Seattle-based Polish jewelry designer Ada Rosman is the featured spring artist. POPPY’s ongoing visiting designer series spotlights jewelry from designers who create one-of- a- kind, thought- provoking pieces employing a plethora of techniques. Rosman works with minimal forms and evokes a sense of time through the use of patinas, natural materials, and found objects. A new series of stackable rings feature Baltic amber in a range of unexpected tonalities from ivory to jet. Silver ribbon cutting at 7 pm.
