Let's face it, spending $300 on a dress or $800 on a pair of leather pants just isn't economically smart (even though I love to show you guys some of these items in my ON MY RADAR posts every week).
I myself have cut back on buying lunch everyday and have brought treats to work for lunch (though yes, they tend to be from Whole Foods and yes, I still have dinner and drinks out way too much),though it's a start!!!! But every once in a while I shop online and I find some great items on clearance. The reality is I hate to shop in stores unless it's at a great thrift store or a small boutique. I have a girlfriend who just bought a Michael Kors jacket from Nordstrom's online that was regularly $250 and she got for $100. And I found a Diane Von Furstenberg jacket that was normally $350 for $143 (though I had self control and refused to buy).
Yesterday was like Christmas as I received a package from American Eagle with three treats (of the clothing variety). Ever since I was in high school I've loved jackets from American Eagle and now I think my total is around seven or so jackets. Their cut is perfect and I'm really in to 3/4 length sleeves.
So what did I spend? A mere $70 and shipping for these three items. Tough times may be sucking the green from everyone's pocket book, but just by doing some digging online you can find great buys that you often miss in stores and cute items at stellar deals like my finds below. Or there is another option......................wear what you already have in your closet. But if you must, and sometimes its just unavoidable you need something for a special occasion, try shopping online to bargain hunt.
