Play time is over at 1219 Connecticut Avenue, the old site of Play Lounge. The new venue, Midtown, and the soon-to-follow membership only Midtown Loft, appropriately named for its location in the heart of DC nightlife, will flaunt a black and white old school vibe. You know Michael best for his K Street hotspots LOTUS Lounge and Tattoo. He's adding another toy to his sandbox.
The completely reworked space features all-new sound and lighting, state-of-the-art DJ booth, spacious dance floor, staged dancer platforms, extended bar, elevated VIP party table, and two sky boxes.
Midtown, the latest venture of the Michael Romeo Group, will be open Tuesday through Saturday. The Grand Opening is set for November 15, 2008.
