The Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design will host FotoWeek DC Events this Weekend

The Corcoran Gallery of Art and College of Art + Design will host several events during the inaugural, weeklong celebration of FotoWeek DC. A proud partner ofFotoWeek DC 2008, the Corcoran stands as a major center for collecting, displaying andstudying photography and photojournalism.

On Saturday, November 15, the Corcoran College of Art + Design will host FotoWeek
DC Portfolio Reviews from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Portfolio Review participants will receive one-on-one feedback on their portfolios from some of the industry’s best. Prominent photographers from all specialties, curators, educators, photo editors and experts from the fields of commercial, fine art, photojournalism and documentary will act as reviewers.

Chris Usher, an award-winning magazine photographer, will debut One of Us, a book
project encompassing two years of images captured in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina at the Corcoran on Saturday, November 15 from 12 p.m. to 1p.m. in the Frances and Armand Hammer Auditorium. Books will be available for sale, and a signing will follow the presentation. **All proceeds will go to victims of the Hurricane Katrina.**
