The weekend wine re-cap

This was another great weekend and it concluded with a kick ass dinner party thrown by myself and Ms. Goodyear. Friday started off with dinner and margaritas at Mi Rancho in Silver Spring with the dopest of the dope B.C.

Saturday relaxing at mi casa and then to the 20x20 art exhibition at Art 17. I saw amazing works by Billy Colbert and Anna U. Davis. I highly suggest you stop in at Art 17 and see the pieces of 20 artists who made 20 paintings and mixed collages which measure 20x20. Curated by Sondra Arkin, the concept was ingenious and her selection of artists right up my alley.

After the exhibit we headed to Veritas Wine Bar (pictured above) in North Dupont and consumed an inordinate amount of wine. I sat down and said guys I really want a Nero d Avola and Montepulciano. I flipped open the menu and one of the wine flights called “Backpacking in Italy” had just that. And what do you know, I went backpacking in Italy just a few months ago. It was fate.

Next stop I headed over to Marvin’s for a bit with friends. I love how there is a line out the door for Marvs on the weekend and as we all know I do not do lines but Collins a.k.a. manhawk wisked us right in. Little do these people know they can come during the week and have a much more relaxed experience, but we luckily snagged a seat in the corner and continued on with the wine feast.

Last stop was the warehouse party on NY Ave. which continued to the weeeeeee hours of 4 a.m. I can’t tell you how many late night 4 a.m. parties there have been in the past few weeks for me but no couches for me to dance on though. Just lots and lots of dope beats from renowned hip hop DJ Afrika Bambaataa. And I wore my hot tunic from GURU-NYC seen HERE with some sexy brown knee-high Steve Madden boots so it just made the night that much more bangin’.

Sunday, ohhhhhh Sunday. Tiffany and I hosted the most amazing dinner party at her crib in Chevy Chase. After endless bottles of wine, baked paprika salmon, orzo, salad, roasted potatoes, sautéed mushrooms, baked zucchini and butternut squash our guest left giggly and full ready to take on the world this Monday!

And so the week begins……………………..
