Fashion Fights Poverty Lookbook Launch Party this Thursday

Celebrate the release of FFP's 2008 "Dress Responsibly" look book on Thursday, September 4th at Tattoo. Hosted by Katherine Kennedy, author of K.K. in DC in my Everyday Reads and sponsored by The Michael Romeo Group, this year's "Dress Responsibly" campaign commemorates not only visual and fashion design, but also how Americans have used creative means to address global issues.

The look book is a catalogue of chic, contemporary, and ethical designers, modeled by celebrities and everyday citizens who have pledged their support to FFP’s mission. The look book will be available online and limited editions will also be available for purchase. A percentage of sales from each look book will go to Nest (www.buildanest.com), FFP’s 2008 beneficiary, a nonprofit organization dedicated to changing the lives of women in developing countries. Nest provides micro-finance loans to artisan women in the developing world to help them create sustainable entrepreneurial businesses and then gives them a place to sell their unique goods.

EDUN LIVE (www.edun-live.com) will sponsor FFP's 2008 "Dress Responsibly" t-shirts by donating their "100% Made in Africa" tees. Preview tees at launch party, limited editions available for purchase at the benefit.

To attend launch party, RSVP at rsvp@sinpr.com
