A note from my friend, artist and art therapist Marielle Mariano. This year's CHALK4PEACE was a hit!! Yoko Ono endorsing us on her ImaginePeace.com website, thousands of pictures to sift through, and more interested sites to join in next year. Now it's time to start raising some money to keep spreading the visual messages of peace.
This Tuesday, September 30, come to BUSBOYS & POETS in SHIRLINGTON for dinner after 5pm
and EAT 4 PEACE!!! B&P will be donating 5% of the dinner revenue that
night to the CHALK4PEACE organization. I'll also be there from 12pm till
I'm finished eating dinner some time after 5. I'll have a display about
C4P for B&P's Non Profit Tuesday and show cards set out for our other
event: The Children's National Medical Center's art exhibit "BECAUSE OF
YOU, WE CAN..." Over 20 photos from past CHALK4PEACE events will be
showcased along with other community organization's works starting with a
reception, Thursday, October 2nd.
So come out to EAT4PEACE or SEE THE PEACE or both!! I will be at both
events. See below for info and check out the attached flier for the
Busboys event in Shirlington. Please pass on to anyone you know in the
area!!
