Cupcakes, Crashes and Absynthe

Amal Feature Poster

Last night was a whirlwind of action that began at Veritas with Tosh. I headed over to the Washington Cupcake Contest to help Ms. Goodyear (seen below, Thanks Greg!) and her cupcakes rocked the house and we had the best looking table and hotties dishing out cupcakes to about 200 attendees. Then I headed over to the private screening of AMAL.

If there is ONE MOVIE YOU SEE this FALL please let it be AMAL. You can see it at E Street. One of the most amazing films I've seen. After the afterparty @ Asia Nine we headed to check out a sneak peak of 1905, the new french bistro that officially opens today on 9th and U. The boys got to taste the absynthe they had at the bar and I am still convinced it's illegal to consume, but apparently not.

We had a intimate chat among friends @ 1905 and I love the decor. There is a black chandelier that would look amazing in my apartment. It's a mix between Marvin and 18th Street Lounge but on a much much smaller scale. Like put two of my apartments together and there it is. So I'm sure the masses will travel to 1905 tonight to check it out, but sorry kiddies, you should have been there last night and you could have a first hand account.

Next up we headed to Marvin's and literally closed the place down at 2:30 a.m. or so and then it was a class field trip to Austin's pad waking up babies along the way and thinking the building was going to come crashing down when the wind blew something up/down/all around on his patio. Garai am I ever going to get any of those fuc#$ing photos dude?

Having just gone to bed 5 hours ago, I'm refreshed and ready for the weekend with lots of work to do. I'm super hype about the Thievery Corporation @ 18th Street Lounge on Saturday night and Shira.............RED BULL is for school children and dumb kids who love RBV. I suggest instead you try the Montepulciano @ 1905.
