
Over 100 celebrated artists from around the country will travel to Washington DC to participate in the 2nd Annual Washington DC International Arts Expo September 19-21, 2008 Thousands will attend this 3-day experience, which will feature works from nationally renowned artists such as Lisa Jones, Krissy Randall, Matthew Rice, Jonas Gerard, Jamaal Sheats, Desiree Sterbini, Danny Broadway, and an array of emerging student artists.

Artists Preview Reception and Fundraiser

Details: WIAE kicks off the weekend with an Artist Preview and a highly anticipated Fundraising Reception with proceeds benefiting the Howard University Armour J. Blackburn University Center Director's Discretionary Fund. Serious patrons of the arts along with first time collectors will be introduced to the most talented artists in the country. Enjoy exclusive art unveilings, cash bar, wine tasting and live nationally known and local jazz and spoken word performances.

Details: Hosted by 88 and X Culture TV www.xculture.tv, late night owls and the party people will be in the house to "xperience a 21 century art happening!" A fast-paced inspired and inspiring event that brings artists off the canvas, out of their studios and into a live-action, multi-media environment.
