Summer is winding down and I want you all to join me for a kick ass end of summer trip to go tubing on the Shenandoah River. (See pictures from last time above).

So grab the ice chest, take a trip to the grocery, stock up on jello shots, cork the wine and pull the bikini and swim trunks out for one last chance to venture with me down the river for 4 hours of relaxin' in the sun.

Tickets are $55 and this includes bus transportation (yes you can consume drinks on the bus), your tubes, cooler tubes, water on the bus and breakfast.

You must be 21 to attend and the event always sells out so purchase your tickets well in advance.

The tubing trip is Saturday, August 2. We depart at 10 a.m., but please get there by 9 a.m. for breakfast and to check in. We will return to DC around 7 p.m.

To get to Front Page take the Orange line of the Metro, Ballston Station. $1 parking is available across the street in the Ballston Common Mall garage.

Please note, no tickets will be sent to you. You will receive a confirmation email with your ticket purchase and a trip detail reminder will be sent to you as well.

When you arrive on tubing day the buses will be parked out front, please stow all your extra belongings on board before you come into Front Page.

Be sure to bring your photo id for registration and you must be 21 to attend. Please note, no glass bottles on the river so if you have wine put it in a plastic container and brings cans of beer versus bottles.



You should wear shoes that you can get wet and flip flops are not recommended as they have a tendency to fall off. Also the rocks can be sharp when walking out to the water or if you fall in.

For the trip back bring a change of clothes, there is a facility for changing, and you are welcome to bring a lunch. I suggest snacks, sandwiches, spreads, caviar, cheeses, etc. It's pretty easy to eat on the river in the tube and we all tie together if you want so it's easy to pass the jello shots!
