Friday afternoon we stopped at Queen's Nails on 21st and P for manis and pedis after work. They look phenom by the way and for a French it cost about $54. A little steep but worth the work they did on my feet. They were really not too cute and since the Craiganator comes back from the trip to Puerto Rico with the boys on Monday had to get them done. Next up, dinner at Marrakesh al fresco. The food was phenom and we had a spread of Morrocan treats including chicken pastry, eggplant, sausages, the cookies for desert, two bottles of red wine and lots of girl talk. And as always Medi is just perfect eye candy.
Saturday afternoon begin at around 1 p.m. when I arose and Craez cooked me breakfast a.k.a. lunch. We waited for the rain to subside and trekked into the city to start at Rice for drinks with T-bone, Amit (Amit, we are like what, the 8th and 9th girls you have taken there this month?) and Craez then dinner at Co Co Sala with Heidi joining us. Bharet and Miloud are such gracious hosts and Ashley was a great server as always. We took a trek to Pose in National Harbor only to turn right back around to the city and spend most of the night at Marvin's. Sheldon looked dashing as ever and it never ceases to amaze me the line out the door on weekends. Then it was to Josephine's at 1 a.m. where Philippe was nice enough to wisk us in. Next time, we will come early dear, we promise. And we concluded the night at Space with the lights turning on at 3 a.m. or so and Justin and Mitchell kicking us out. They have to sleep too you know. But I still love their deck in the summer. So comfy.
Sunday was brunch at Tabaq and a little window shopping on U Street. Then off to volunteer at CREATE and concluding the weekend with Reggae Sunday at Aidah's! That chick knows how to get down and throw a kick ass affair. With 30 or so of her most amazing friends getting together for her weekly affair it's great to mix and mingle with new people in an intimate setting. And many thank you's to Charles and her for fabulous food (the ribs and fish and jambalya were the bom), great wine and good friends.
It was great hanging out with the posse this weekend (Adrian, Theo and Antoine are of course my favorites :), it's been a while kiddies, well at least since Thursday night madness at Marvin's. Especially you Miss Goodyear. Prost!
