South Asian Performing Arts Network and Institute presents SALSA and SAMOSAS this Saturday

Ever wonder what could be better than a great evening of Latin or Indian entertainment? An evening that combines both into a single event! Mark your calendars because on Saturday, June 7, the South Asian Performance Arts Network (SAPAN) Institute presents

"SALSA and SAMOSAS!" a special evening of music, dance and food, celebrating Indian and Latin cultures.

The program:

-- Live Indian Music by Kundalika, an exceptional Indian classical and folk music ensemble

-- Indian Dance Performances by the SAPAN Institute

-- Live Latin Music by Movimiento, a premier local Latin band that promises to keep you dancing (www.myspace.com/movimientodc)

-- Samosa Snacks

-- Great Drink Specials

Event details:

Location: At Skye Lounge (www.skyedc.com) 1919 Penn Ave at the corner of 19th and I streets. Farragut West Metro.

Date: Saturday, June 7, 2008

Time: 6 to 10 PM (doors open at 6 PM; live performances begin at 6:30 and will end by about 9:30)

Cost: $10 (includes all entertainment and samosas)
