Crafty Bastards Silver Spring is just 2 days away! Join City Paper at the Pyramid Atlantic Art Center this Saturday for our bi-annual indie craft shopping extravaganza. Shop for one-of-a-kind, handmade items from more than 70 vendors while enjoying a full day of entertainment, workshops, and local treats. The first 2500 attendees will receive a free Crafty Bastards tote bag!
Directions and Parking
The Silver Spring Metro stop is a few blocks away. If you are arriving by car, there is plenty of street parking, but we recommend that you use the FREE, 6-level Metro parking lot just off Georgia Ave. on Bonifant St.

Get inspired to make something at the Craft Mutiny Supply Swap. Swap, donate or buy rescued craft supplies at this one-of-a-kind art and craft supply swap. Learn a new craft through demos, zines and handmade crafting kits. Craft Mutiny is a DC-based collective dedicated to handmade.
Inside Pyramid Atlantic
Workshops will be held throughout the day inside Pyramid Atlantic. You can silkscreen a Crafty Bastard t-shirt, letterpress a Crafty poster and make your own blank book. Be sure to head to the gallery upstairs to check out Pyramid Atlantic's latest art exhibits. (more details here)
Entertainment on Two Stages
A dozen local acts will provide music and entertainment on two stages. The main stage kicks off at 10:30am and things get going on the Welcome Mat Stage at 10:45am. Check out the interviews with the Crafty entertainers are on our blog.

The 5th Annual Crafty Bastards will be held Sunday, September 28th at Marie Reed Learning Center in Washington, DC. Applications will be accepted through July 17, 2008. There is a $10 non-refundable application fee. The jury will review the entries and we will notify everyone of their status via email by July 25. The booth fee for accepted vendors is $85.
