So if you know me, and know me well, you know that I have an unwritten rule about partying in DC, never stand in line, and never stay in one place for more than a few hours to keep myself entertained. I can't tell you how many emails I get weekly of people I have never met asking me to add them to guest lists for the night. Sorry folks, I'm not a promoter, but here is my list of the Top promoters in the city that you should hook up with to ensure a smooth and cheap (or free) entry to local hot spots like Josephine, Fly Lounge, The Park and more.
Usually though, you can avoid the fiasco and party on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday like the rest of us normal people and avoid DC's version of the bridge & tunnel crowd that flock to the District on the weekends.
So next time you need the hook-up on the weekend look to them, not me, because I'll be in a wine bar or out to dinner and not at the club, or better yet, get to know the owner, GM and hottest DJ at your local clubs for smooth sailing.
